DBAT Cravens 9 THZ Academy 16U 1 – Christian Boulware threw a complete game giving up 1 run on 2 hits and striking out 4 to lead DBAT to a 9-1 win.  Drew Karp had 2 hits, 2 RBI’s and 2 runs scored.  Not to be outdone, Hunter Markwardt, had 3 hits, scored 3 runs and added 3 stolen bases. Karp & Markwardt share Player of the Game honors.

DBAT Matthews 2 NTX Dirtbags 1 – DBAT received a SAC Fly from Alex Stiegler and an RBI single from Dalton Davies to defeat the Dirtbags 2-1.  That is all that Lefties Nick Skeffington and Zach Kondrach would need.  The pair struck out 4 each and didn’t surrender an earned run in the win.

Arlington Heat 15U 5 Amarillo Titans Jones 3 – Matt Stoner hit a 3 run homerun to erase a 2 run deficit as the Heat defeated the Titans.  Max McCarthy tossed 4-1/3 in relief, recording 6 strikeouts and giving up 1 hit.

DBAT Dean 4 Wichita Reds 3 – Nash Walters and Skyler White combined for 16 strikeouts in defeating the Reds 4-3. Hagen Tucker hit a 3 run homerun in the 5th inning to tie the game.  Blake Dean doubled as well in the DBAT win.

Dallas Mustangs Stafford 12 Texas Raiders 3 – Malik Jones, Austin Beller, Sean Holehouse and Trenton Farrow put on an Extra Base hit show to defeat the Raiders.  Holehouse was 3 for 5 with 2 doubles.  Farrow launched a 2 run homerun.  Beller and Jones each had 2 doubles as well.  On the mound, Noah Embry threw a complete game, not allowing an earned run.  Embry recorded 8 strikeouts in the win.

Amarillo Titans Jones 6 Texas Toros 2 – Ryne Williams tossed 5 effective innings to give the Titans a 6-2 win.  The right hander allowed 1 earned run and scattered 4 hits, while striking out 5 Toro hitters.  Caysan Lytal relieved Williams in the 6th to close the door on the Toros.  Offensively, Benton Rogers collected 3 hits and drove in 1 to capture Player of the Game honors.

DBAT Wilson 7 THZ Academy 16U 1 – Harrison Beethe went 5-1/3 innings for DBAT to get the win over THZ Academy.  Beethe allowed 4 hits and 1 run.  At the plate, Cameron Valle collected 2 hits.  The Player of the Game was Durance Nye with 2 doubles and a run scored.

DFW Twins Walker 6 Wichita Reds 4 – Garrett Walker threw 6 innings in a 6-4 win over the Reds.  Walker allowed 6 hits and 2 runs in an effective outing for the Twins.  Chaylon Fisher & Zach Gingrich were both 2 for 3 with doubles and RBI’s to lead the Twins offense.

DBAT Dean 6 NTX Dirtbags 2 – Corbin Hernandez had an RBI double and Austin Dean singled and scored 2 runs as DBAT defeated the Dirtbags 6-2.  Call Florence was the winning pitcher with 6 innings pitched and 4 strikeouts.

DBAT Tompkins 4 Airhogs McMullen 2 – Zack Shepherd had 2 hits and Matthew Nemecek tripled in the go ahead run in the 5th as DBAT topped the Airhogs 4-2.  Michael Pilato picked up the win with 2 shutout innings in relief.  DBAT starter, Isaac Hale, struck out 6 in 5 innings of work and didn’t allow an earned run.

DBAT Wilson 10 Arlington Heat 5 – Sawyer Lake threw 3 scoreless innings in relief to hold off the Arlington Heat 10-5.  The Player of the Game was an outstanding performance by Shane Gerths.  The catcher from Celina drove in 5 runs with an RBI single, a bases loaded 3 RBI double and a SAC fly.

Storm Baseball 10 Airhogs McMullen 2– A pair of 3 run HRs from Patrick Mixon and Trevor Boiles led the Storm to a 10-2 victroy over Airhogs McMullen. Parker Murphy went 6 innings for the Storm, striking out 5 while only allowing 1 ER.

DBAT Tompkins 6 Dallas Mustangs 4–  DBAT pitcher Tyler Duck picked up the W throwing 5 solid innings.  Duck had 5k’s and only allowed 2 hits and 2 earned runs.  Hunter Markwardt went 2-3 on the game with a double and 3 runs. Bryce Bonner also hit a solo HR in the 2nd inning.

Texas Stix 17u 9 Texas Raiders 0– Starting pitcher Collin Lovato led the Texas Stix to a 9-0 victory with 12 Ks in an impressive 6 innings of work.  Lovato gave up no runs and only 2 hits.  At the plate Chad Flenar and Jared Thacker both had multi hit games.  Thacker went 3-4 with an RBI double.  Also for the Stix, Alex Kempf hit a 2 RBI triple.

Storm 5 Texas Stix 4 – in one of the best games of the weekend, Michael Wheeler put on a defensive show, Josh Ringsdorf wore one off the chest to save a run, and in typical fashion, Matt Bernstein got a monster hit for a 5-4 Storm win.  Brandon Lewis threw 4-2/3 quality innings, Jordan Speck blasted a RBI double in the 5th to get the Stix within 1.  Trevor Boiles came in relief  of Thomas Lauer and got a huge double play ball to get the Storm out of trouble. It was just one of the 3 sparkling plays from Wheeler. The Stix were only able to get within one due to a Solo blast from Matt Bernstein in the top of the inning. Bernstein continued his MVP type performance through the last game of the tournament.
