Dudes of the Day
Jonathan Heasley – Complete game, 12 K’s, 1 hit allowed for Dallas Patriots Stout
Connor Kaiser – 4 hits, 2 for Extra Bases with 2 RBI’s for Mac N Seitz Indians
Bryce Verplank – 4 for 6 with 2 doubles, 2 RBI’s, 3 runs scored and picked up the save in 2 innings of scoreless relief for Dallas Mustangs Randle.

 

TCU
Game 1 was dominated by 2 outstanding pitching performances from Parker Schkade and Blake Wellman. Wellman captured the win for the Twelve with 4 strikeouts while giving up 2 hits in a 1-0 win for Twelve Maroon.  Both players touched 88 MPH. David Ruot doubled for the Airhogs.  Kyle Swanson singled in the 3rd and eventually scored the winning run.

Game 2 saw the Twelve Maroon 16U defeat the Amarillo Titans 5-4. Brooks Namken picked up the win in relief after a strong starting performance by Logan Freeman.  Freeman threw 4 innings, giving up 1 earned run and collected 4 strikeouts.  Chase Basham had 2 hits including a double and RBI single in the 4th.  Shelton Eppler had the game winning hit in the 7th inning.

In Game 3 at TCU, Storm Baseball shut out The Oklahoma Fuel behind the superb pitching performance of Eric Jeon for a 3-0 win.  Jeon tossed a complete game scattering 5 hits with 8 strikeouts and walked none.  Catcher, Matt Bernstein delivered a 2 RBI single in the 6th inning to provide the winning runs.  Trevor Boiles drove in the 3rd run of the game with a follow up RBI double.

Game 4 at TCU saw a dominant performance by Jonathan Heasley of the Dallas Patriots Stout.  Heasley dominated the Amarillo Titans in a 4-1 win.  The right-hander recorded 12 strikeouts and gave up 1 hit in a complete game.  The lone hit for the Titans came with one out in the 7th from Austin Baker.  Offensively for the Patriots, Ryan Cash and Hunter Seay drove in runs for the Patriots.

The night cap, Game 5, at TCU had Mac N Seitz Foster shut out Storm Baseball 8-0.  Tanner Fox tossed a 2 hit shut out and recorded 8 strikeouts and no walks.  Centerfielder Eli Davis was 2 for 2 with a triple in the 4th.  Wichita State commit, Noah Croft was 2-3 with an RBI.

Weatherford College
In Game 1, DBAT Bonesio defeated the Wichita Reds 7-1. DBAT exploded for 7 runs in the 2nd inning. Derek Wells tossed 4 shutout innings for the win. Hudson Sanchez had 2 hits in the second inning including an RBI Double.

Game 2 featured Dallas Patriots Valdez vs the Wichita Reds. With the game tied 2-2, Brylie Ware unleashed a bases clearing triple to secure a 5-2 win for the Reds.  Mason LeClair tossed 5 strong innings allowing 1 earned run.  Dalton Dinkel picked up the win in relief with Jacob Gibson recording the save.  Offensively, Tramaine Simpson had 2 hits including an RBI double.

In Game 3, the Arlington A’s defeated DBAT Bonesio 6-0.  Eric Walker threw 6 shutout innings with 5 strikeouts to get the win for the A’s.  Ben Martin, Nick Evarts and Aaron Fanning had 2 hits each to lead the A’s offensively. Nick Evarts turned in some defensive gems to stall DBAT rallies and added a double himself.

Game 4 saw Dallas Patriots Valdez top Airhogs Martin 6-4.  Gabe Martinez threw 5 innings in relief with 5 strikeouts in the win.  Robert Salazar delivered 2 hits, 2 runs and an RBI.  Antonio Lima also had 2 hits a run and a stolen base in a winning effort.  David Ruot was 2-3 with 2 RBI’s in the loss for the Airhogs.

In the finale, Game 5, at Weatherford College Twelve 17U Maroon bested the Arlington A’s  6-1. Collin Garrett captured the win by going 4 innings, allowing 1 run and striking out 4.  Collin Cameron closed the game by striking out 5 over the last 3 innings with a fastball at 88-90 MPH. The player of the game was Durbin Feltman who had 2 hits including an RBI double.  Walker Davis and Luken Baker each added multi-hit games.  Ben Martin, from Stephenville, had 2 hits in a losing effort for the A’s.

DBU
In Game 1, Dallas Mustangs Randle defeated the Columbia Angels 5-3 behind a complete game from Charlie Hatcher. The Lefty scattered 4 hits and had 6 strikeouts in the win.  The Mustangs had an RBI Triple from Cooper Chaltas and multi-hit games from Bryce Verplank, Caleb Scires and Garrett Hudson.

Game 2 at Dallas Baptist saw the Columbia Angels defeat the Fort Worth Cats 6-0.  Garrett Reed threw 5 scoreless innings with 5 strikeouts for the win.  Tyler Smith had a 2 RBI triple to pace the Angels offense. Jon Nicholson threw 2 scoreless innings in relief and was 89-90 MPH, touching 91.

Game 3 matched Dallas Mustangs Randle vs Burkburnett Blacksox.  The Mustangs won 7-5 behind 5 strong innings from Garrett Hudson. Jimmy Pogue and JT Van Gelder had 2 hits each. Game MVP goes to Bryce Verplank. The big Right hander was 2 for 3 with a double, RBI, stolen base and tossed 2 innings for the save.

In Game 4 at DBU, Mac N Seitz Indians exploded for 13 runs to defeat the Burkburnett Blacksox 14-3.  Vanderbilt Commit, Connor Kaiser was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI’s and a walk.  Luke Ritter was 1-2 with 3 RBI’s.  Alex Knight cruised on the mound going 4 2/3 with 5 strikeouts for the win.

The last game of the day, Game 5, at DBU saw DBAT Gallegos defeat Mac N Seitz Indians 4-2. Seth Elledge was the pitcher of the game by throwing 3 effective innings at 86-88 MPH.  Josh Ragan was 1 for 3 with a 2 run triple and made a circus catch in right field.  Rice commit, Luke Wakamatsu also tripled and played solid defense at Shortstop.  Connor Kaiser doubled for the Indians.
