After the College World Series, it's going to be hard to find somebody who doesn't know who TCU freshman designated hitter Luken Baker is.
Coming off his biggest at bat of the year in which he unloaded a towering shot over the left field bullpen in the ninth inning to give TCU the victory over Big 12 rival Texas Tech, Baker provided fans with another spectacular performance against the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (watch in the video below).
The Legend Grows...

Once again, Baker powered the offense for TCU. After launching an opposite field home run in the top of the second inning, Baker continued to hit throughout the game. The 2015 Gatorade National Player of the Year would finish the night going 3-3 with one home run, two runs batted in and one run scored. The strong performance by the freshman would eventually lead the Frogs to a victory over the Chanticleers 6-1.
Baker's eye at the plate makes him also a very tough out. Head coach Jim Schlossnagle says that Baker reminds him of former TCU hitter Matt Carpenter.
"Very similar in terms of their approach," said Schlossnagle.
Whether he reminds you of Carpenter or not, Baker continues to dominate the College World Series. With him swinging the bat so well, the Frogs are now legitimate contenders for the trophy.
The Horned Frogs are now set to face the winner of the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers on June 24.
