Yes, that's right, eight home runs were hit. Now, if you would have taken a closer look at the box score you would have noticed that every single run scored was on a solo home run, breaking the MLB record for most solo home runs in a single game by three.

Starting off the “derby,” Marcell Ozuna sent one out of the park. Giancarlo Stanton then followed him up with his own solo shot. Ozuna then took Jorge De La Rossa deep again in the fourth. Trevor Story, Mark Reynolds, and Nick Hundley each sent their own solo home runs off of Marlins pitcher Paul Clemens. Later in the sixth inning, Reynolds would send another dinger off of Marlins reliever Brian Ellington. The final home run of the night came from Charlie Blackmon who took Nick Wintgren deep in the ninth.

One thing that stunned sports fans was that this was played at Marlins Park. By having such long dimensions, it is perhaps the toughest stadium to hit the long ball out of.
