Is this real life? Pinch yourself because the UC-Santa Barbara Gauchos are heading to the College World Series thanks to a walk-off grand slam by freshman pinch-hitter Sam Cohen.
It wasn't do or die for the Gauchos as they had a one game lead on the Louisville Cardinals in the Louisville Super Regional, but this game was very important in the momentum of the series. Louisville was leading 3-0 in the ninth when they sent first-round draft pick Zack Burdi to the mound. Burdi, who hit 103 MPH with his first pitch, seemed to be in control as he struck out the leadoff batter. Burdi then surrendered a hit, followed by two walks to load the bases. Then, head coach Andrew Cheketts decided to use Cohen, the freshman, as a pinch hitter.
And check out what he did:

Cohen will go down in history for this home run, and the Gauchos will go down to Omaha as they, along with seven other teams, will compete for the national championship.
