DBU

Dallas Mustangs Randle defeated Texas Lions, 7-5, in Game 1 from DBU. Mustangs’ Ryan Rodgers led the charge at the plate going 3-3 with one RBI, one run, and one stolen base. Lions’ Kendall Catalon was also impressive going 2-2 with one RBI, one walk, and two stolen bases. Rodgers and Catalon were named co-players of the game. Mustangs’ Connor Hart threw 5.1 innings striking out three and allowing six hits. Hart was named pitcher of the game. Other Mustangs players who stood out were Nate Santiago (1-3 with one double, one RBI, one run, and one stolen base) and Daniel Hernandez (2-4 with two runs). For the Lions, Parker Conn (2-3 with one walk and one run) and Hunter Jones (2-3 with one double and one run) had solid games. Mustangs’ Tets Hung made an outstanding diving stop and flip to end the game which you can see the video of below.

Dallas Tigers Watten defeated ABA 2018, 11-4, in Game 2 from DBU. Kenton Pierce was a two-way threat smashing a two-run home run and pitching two innings striking out two. Without a doubt, Pierce was player of the game. Tigers’ Pierce McFarlane and Jaden Fowler were named co-hitters of the game. McFarlane went 3-3 with one RBI, four runs, one stolen base, and was hit by a pitch. Fowler went 2-2 with one double, two runs batted in, one run, one stolen base, and one walk. Other notable Tigers hitters were Brooks Helmer (2-3 with two runs batted in and one walk) and Logan Layer (2-3 with one RBI, one run, and one walk). ABA 2018 was led at the plate by Ryan Johnson’s 2-3 effort with one double and one run scored. Luke Wilson ended the game 2-3 as well with one RBI. Joshua Lackner did not record an official at bat going 0-0, but he did draw two walks and had one RBI on a sacrifice fly.

Texas Stix 2018’s Nicco Cole was dominant on the mound leading the Stix to a 7-0 victory over Mac N Seitz in Game 3 at DBU. Cole pitched all seven innings allowing just two singles, no walks, and no runs while striking out 10 (see one of his strikeouts in the video below). Cole was named pitcher of the game. Stix’s Matt Castaneda did the damage at the plate going 2-3 with one double, one triple, two runs batted in, and one run scored. Castaneda was named hitter of the game. Connor Hughes and Kadel Helsel each had a single for Mac N Seitz.

Thrive Baseball defeated Twelve Silver 16U, 8-6, in Game 4 from DBU. Trevor Hatton launched a majestic home run over the DBU bullpen in the top of the first inning. Hatton ended the game going 2-4 with that one home run, three runs batted in, and two runs scored. He was named hitter of the game. Thrive’s Johnny Thomas was 1-3 with two runs and one walk. Thrive's Cole Reeves was 1-2 with one run, one stolen base, one walk, and was hit bit a pitch. Twelve Silver was led at the plate by Zach Limas (2-4 with two doubles and two runs), Dru Baker (2-4 with three runs batted in, two runs, and one stolen base) and Zach Brown (1-2 with three runs batted in).

EC Sox rallied with a six-run bottom of the sixth inning to defeat D-BAT Schkade, 9-4, in Game 5 from DBU. Watch EC Sox’s Adam Hudson drive in the go-ahead runs in the bottom of the sixth inning in the video below. Hudson ended the night 3-4 with two runs batted in, three runs scored, and a stolen base and was named player of the game. EC Sox’s CJ Willis, who was named hitter of the game, went 2-4 with one double, three runs batted in and scored one run. D-BAT’s Jacob Johnson went 2-4 with one double and scored one run. D-BAT’s Kason Howell went 1-2 with one double, one run, and one walk. On the mound, D-BAT’s Cade Farr was impressive with his fastball and curveball. Farr pitched 2.2 innings striking out four and only allowed one run.

Mountain View

It was the Tre Morris show at Mountain View as Mac N Seitz defeated ABA 2018, 13-8, in Game 1. The right-handed power hitter went 4-4 with two home runs, one triple, six runs batted in and three runs scored. Check out his first blast in the video below. Without a doubt, Morris was named hitter of the game. On the mound, Jack Brimacombe threw four innings striking out three on his way to pitcher of the game. Kaden Helsel went 1-2 with one double and two runs batted in. Branden Harder went 1-3 with one double and two runs scored.

In Game 2 at Mountain View, EC Sox defeated Twelve Silver 16U, 7-6. Caleb Ragland went 1-3 with two runs batted in while Logan Letley went 1-2 with one double and one run batted in. Both were named players of the game.

Game 3 at Mountain View ended in a 1-1 tie between Thrive Baseball and DBAT Schka. Trevor Hatton continued his hot hitting going 3-3 in the contest. Check out one of his hits below. Hatton was named hitter of the game. DBAT's Trey Neighbors threw five innings striking out three and Thrive's Dakota More threw all seven innings striking out six. Both were named pitchers of the game. Also to note, DBAT's Cleet Bowman went 1-3 with a double.

Tarleton State

Dallas Patriots Brooks took care of business in Game 1 at Tarleton State by Amarillo Titans 2018, 11-1. Angel Suarez went 1-2 with one double and two runs batted in on his way to hitter of the game. Spencer Cochran threw five innings striking out one and allowing three hits on his way to pitcher of the game.

DBAT Herrick brought the bats to Tarleton State for their 17-2 victory over Arsenal Stars in Game 2. Colby Feris went 2-3 with one home run, one double and three runs batted in. Nik Millsap went 2-4 with one triple, one home run and three runs batted in. Both were named hitters of the game. Cole Johnson also hit a home run in the contest. On the mound, Steven Swift threw five strong innings striking out eight and giving up three hits on his way to pitcher of the game.

Performance Baseball 16U defeated Dallas Dodgers 16 Black, 11-8, in Game 3 at Tarleton State. Ren Reynolds went 2-4 with one triple, one double and three runs batted on. Reynolds was named player of the game. Performance's Kason Kienzle went 2-5 with two doubles in the contest.

EM Majors beat Performance Baseball 16U, 6-2, in Game 4 at Tarleton State. Ollie Reddick threw four inning striking out three on his way to pitcher of the game. Jacob Broshears went 1-2 with one double and one RBI on his way to hitter of the game.

TCU

Game 1 at TCU between Action Baseball White and LBA Hays ended in a 2-2 tie. LBA's Dylan Moon went 2-3 with one RBI. Action's Aidan Sheperdson went 2-3 with two doubles and one run scored. Both were named hitters of the game. On the mound, LBA's Logan Patterson threw five innings striking out four on his way to pitcher of the game. Action's Collin Wyman threw four innings striking out four. And Nick Mendivil threw three one-hit innings striking out three. 

Mizuno Baseball held off Fort Worth Cats, 3-1, in Game 2 at TCU. Javan Smitherman went 2-3 with one stolen base. He also threw two innings striking out two while sitting at 89-90 MPH. Smitherman was named player of the game. Mizuno LHP Adam Haughtaling threw three innings striking out three. Blake Kuritz threw two innings striking out five in a row (see his last one in the video below). Kuritz was named pitcher of the game. Michael Hampton was hitter of the game going 2-2 with one stolen base.

NTX Banditos defeated Oklahoma Fuel, 8-4, in Game 3 at TCU. Jar Parker got things going early with a leadoff double (see below) which set the tone of the rest of the game. He ended his day going 1-3 with an RBI. Zach Peterson went 2-3 with one triple, two runs batted in and two runs scored. Both Parker and Peterson were named hitters of the game. On the mound, Phillip Sikes threw three innings striking out six. He also went 1-3 with one RBI on his way to player of the game. Also to note, Fuel's TJ Mullins went 1-3 with one double and two runs batted in.

Amarillo Titans picked up the victory over DBAT Gowins, 8-2, in Game 4 at TCU. Logan Ellis went 1-2 with an RBI double and one run scored. Rhett Maynard went 2-3 with one RBI and one run scored. Colton Moore went 2-3 with two runs batted in and one run scored. And Trevor Andrus went 1-3 with one triple and two runs batted in. Maynard, Moore and Andrus were named hitters of the game with Ellis not too far behind.

Game 5 was a wild one at TCU as DBAT Herrick came away with the 6-5 victory over Dallas Patriots Brooks. Down two runs in the bottom of the seventh, DBAT's Adam Stephenson hit a two-run single to tie the game. After Will Quillen walked, Colby Feris came up to hit the game-winning single (watch below). Stephenson finished the night going 1-4, Quillen went 2-2 with one triple, and Feris went 2-3 with the game winner. Feris and Quillen were named hitters of the game, but you can't forget about Stephenson's heroics.

UTA

With the bases loaded in the bottom of the 7th, Ryan Robinson delivered for Lightning Baseball in their 3-2 victory over C3 Futures Worley in Game 1 at UTA. Robinson came up with the clutch hit by driving the ball to left-center field (see below). Robinson finished 1-4 with that RBI double on his way to hitter of the game. On the mound, Zach Berg threw seven inning striking out three on his way to pitcher of the game. For C3, Derrick Williams went 2-3 with one double and one RBI. Jacob Frisbie went 1-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Arlington Heat defeated Texas Oilers 2017, 7-5, in Game 2 at UTA. Leading the way for the Heat was Zack McJilton who went 2-4 with one double and three runs batted in. McJilton was named hitter of the game. On the mound, Zach Kondrach threw three innings striking out four on his way to pitcher of the game. Also to note, Oilers' Mike Nowak went 2-3 with one run scored.

Amarillo Titans 2017 knocked off Arlington Heat, 7-2, in Game 3 at UTA. Titans' Austin Baxter was solid throwing six innings and striking out nine (check out one of those nine in the video below). He gave up no runs in his outing and was named pitcher of the game. His teammate Austin Moya went 2-3 with one double, three runs batted in and one run scored. Heat's Austin Tidwell went 2-3 with two triples, one RBI and one run scored. Both Moya and Tidwell were named hitters of the game. Also to note for the Titans, Tommy Williams went 1-2 with one triple, one RBI and two runs scored. Luis Arellano went 2-2 with two runs batted in.

San Antonio Angels held off Dallas Dodgers 17 Black, 7-6, in Game 4 at UTA. Luis Hernandez came into the 7th inning with two runners on and shut things down. He threw that one inning striking out one and not allowing a hit on his way to pitcher of the game. Garrett Wilkinson went 2-4 with one triple and four runs batted in (see two of his RBIs below). He also scored once on his way to co-hitter of the game. Chandler Eaton went 2-3 with one triple, two runs batted in and one run scored. Eaton was the other co-hitter of the game. Also to note, Maddux Solomon went 1-2 with one triple and one RBI. Jordon Billups went 3-3 with one run. Dodgers' Ty Jones went 2-4 with two runs. Joseph Leal went 2-4 with one RBI. And Zach Palumbo went 2-3 with one double and one run scored.

Pitchers brought their 'A' games to Game 5 at UTA for Action Baseball Green's 3-2 victory over Texas Oilers 2017. Oilers' Isaac Allen threw five innings giving up just two hits. He struck out eight batters. Action's Bradley Tuttle went 4.2 innings striking out one and his teammate Ryan Flores threw 2.1 innings striking out four and giving up no hits. All three were named pitchers of the game.

Weatherford

In Game 1 at Weatherford, Dallas Dodgers 17 Black defeated Action Baseball Green, 8-1. Kyle Duerson threw six innings striking out four on his way to pitcher of the game. Boone Montgomery had a great game at the plate going 3-4 with one double and three runs batted in. Montgomery was the hitter of the game. Also to note, Adam Rangel and Carson Hawks each had an extra base hit. Check out Hawks' in the video below.

Dallas Tigers Hernadez defeated EM Majors, 11-1, in Game 2 at Weatherford. Dillon Carter collected three hits going 3-4. Brenden Dixon went 2-5 with two doubles and Preston King went 3-5 with four runs batted in. Both Dixon and King were named hitters of the game. On the mound, Evan Hiatt threw four innings striking out four and giving up no runs. He was named pitcher of the game.

Game 3 at Weatherford between NTX Dirtbags 2017 and C3 Futures Worley ended in a 7-7 tie. Dirtbags' Clayton Beeter went 2-2 with one double and one RBI. Hunter Harp went 1-3 with three runs batted in. Both were named hitters of the game. Jeffrey Worley also hit a double and had four RBIs in this contest.

Fresh off his commitment to University of Incarnate Word, South Texas Sliders RHP Jake Zatopek threw seven innings and struck out seven in his 12-2 victory over Columbia Angels in Game 4 at Weatherford. Zatopek gave up four hits and one earned run on his way to pitcher of the game. On offense, Grant Gomez went 1-3 with one double and two runs batted in. Jay Collazo went 3-3 with two doubles and three runs batted in. Collazo was named hitter of the game.

BBA Titans Cavalli defeated Amarillo Titans 2017, 9-2, in Game 5 at Weatherford. Nic Swanson went 2-4 with two runs scored. Mack Chambers went 2-3 with one RBI and three runs scored. And Tanner Griffin went 3-4 with one double and three runs scored. Griffin was named hitter of the game.
