Giants' Peavy makes surprise visit to patients at hospital

San Francisco Giants pitcher Jake Peavy visited the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Tuesday as a volunteer with Musicians on Call, a non-profit organization that brings live music to hospital patients.

There, Peavy was able to speak to the patients about keeping their heads up even when faced with tough challenges. When asked about coming to speak to the patients, Peavy responded with the following:

Sixty-four teams began their journey for college baseball’s greatest reward, and now only eight teams remain. With the University of Florida’s bats clinching the decisive Game 3 against in-state rival Florida State on Monday, the Gators punched the final ticket to Omaha.

It's safe to say that this NCAA postseason has been one of the most entertaining in the recent years. From upsets, to top plays, to “what did I just see” moments, these games have been filled with nonstop action and enjoyment. So which teams advanced? Rays' nice gesture to help the Orlando victims

The Tampa Bay Rays are the closest MLB franchise to the city of Orlando and they plan to honor the community in response to the deadly nightclub shooting which occured over the weekend.

The Rays will be hosting a "Pride Night" and 100 percent of the proceeds that night will go to the Pulse Victims Fund to benefit the victims of the Orlando massacre. "Pride Night" will also include a blood drive before the game and passing out of “We Are Orlando” shirts to all the fans in attendance.
