DBU

Arlington Heat 17U defeated Performance Baseball 17U, 3-2, in Game 1 at DBU. Chris Gay went 2-3 with one double and Blaine Parker went 2-3 with one run. Gay and Parker were named hitters of the game. Joshua Avery pitched 3.2 scoreless innings allowing just two hits and striking out two. Avery was the winning pitcher and was named pitcher of the game. Dillon Eatman pitched a perfect seventh inning to get the save. Performance’s Kade Clemens pitched three scoreless innings allowing just two hits and punched out two hitters.

Premier Baseball Futures 17U Nixon defeated Dallas Dodgers 17 Black, 2-1, in Game 2 at DBU. Premier’s Matthew Swick carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning and finished with seven innings pitched allowing just one hit and one run while striking out four. Dodgers’ Michael Van Gundy was just as impressive throwing all six innings allowing just one earned run on two hits while striking out four. Swick and Van Gundy were named pitchers of the game. Lakon Pryor threw out two runners from behind the plate and reached base three times while going 1-1 with one run scored en route to player of the game. Boone Montgomery had the lone hit going 1-3 and run for the Dodgers.

Rawlings Arkansas Prospects Black defeated Dallas Mustangs Clements, 13-1, in Game 3 at DBU. Denver Mullins led the charge at the plate going 2-4 with two triples (one of which you can watch below), two runs batted in, and two runs scored. Mullins was named hitter of the game. Other solid performers were Zac Freeman (2-2 with one double, two runs batted in, and three runs scored), Nick Fakouri (2-4 with two runs batted in and one run scored) and Nick Butler (2-3 with one RBI and one run scored). On the mound, Dylan Billingsley allowed zero earned runs over five innings. Billingsley only allowed three hits and struck out two hitters and was named pitcher of the game. Mustangs’ Dylan Gonzales went 2-3 and Chris Caquelin threw out two runners on the bases from behind the plate.

NTX Banditos defeated Texas Stix 2017, 7-4, in Game 4 at DBU. Nick Ellis was masterful on the mound throwing 4.1 scoreless innings. Ellis only allowed two hits and had one strike out and was named pitcher of the game. Phillip Sikes went 2-3 with one RBI and two runs scored. Evan Sack went 2-4 with two doubles, one RBI, and one run. Sikes and Sack were named hitters of the game. Stix’s right fielder Thomas Santos made an incredible throw to nail a runner at the plate which you can watch below.

In Game 5 at DBU, Columbia Angels 2017 defeated Rawlings Arkansas Prospects Menard, 11-10. Angels’ Dominic Cox went 2-4 with a leadoff home run, three runs batted in, and one run scored. Check out Cox talking about his home run in the video below. Rawlings’ Tyler Gregg went 1-4 with a home run and two runs batted in. Cox and Gregg were named hitters of the game. Angels’ Gavin Machado (2-2 with one double and three runs batted in), Dylan Rock (2-3 with one RBI and two runs), and Michael Cooper (2-3 with one RBI and three runs) all had great nights offensively. Rawlings’ Greyson Pinkett (2-3 with one run), Paxton Wallace (1-3 with one double and three runs batted in) and Chase Bryan (1-3 with one triple and two runs) were factors offensively.

Fossil Ridge

San Antonio Kings narrowly defeated Texas Oilers 2017, 9-8, in Game 1 at Fossil Ridge. At the plate, Oilers' David Renning went 1-4, but made his one hit count. He belted a three-run home run over the left field fence (see below). Randy Huerta went 2-2 with three runs batted in for the Kings while CJ Horn, his teammate, went 3-3 with two doubles and one RBI. All three players were named hitters of the game.

In Game 2 at Fossil Ridge, Dallas Patriots Brooks defeated Premier Baseball Futures 16U Nixon, 10-6. For Premier, Christopher Alfaro went 3-4 with one double and two runs batted in. Trent Golson went 2-2 with two runs batted in. And Christian Aleman went 2-2 with one RBI and three runs scored. For the Patriots, Nick Davis went 3-4 with one double and one RBI. Tanner Lindsly went 3-3 with two runs batted in. Both Davis and Lindsly were named hitters of the game.

Dallas Tigers Bustillos 2018 defeated Thrive Baseball, 5-4, in Game 3 at Fossil Ridge.

Arlington A's Green/Ashford defeated Texas Stix South, 9-4, in Game 4 at Fossil Ridge. Ryan Allen threw 6.2 innings striking out four on his way to the victory. Allen was named pitcher of the game. At the plate, William Mackay went 4-5 with one RBI. Cole Lightfoot went 2-4 with two runs batted in. Both Mackay and Lightfoot were named hitters of the game.

In Game 5 at Fossil Ridge, Action Baseball 17U White defeated San Antonio Angels 17U, 10-2. Hayden Craig went 1-2 with two runs batted in. Marcos Castillo went 1-2 with two runs batted in. Grant Miller went 1-3 with one triple and two runs batted in. And Shea Guttierez went 2-3 with one double and one RBI. All four were named hitters of the game. And on the mound, Steven Vejil threw 5.2 innings and struck out six on his way to pitcher of the game.

Mountain View

Rawlings Prospects Black defeated Premier Baseball Futures 17U Nixon, 5-2, in Game 1 at Mountain View. Reed Shephard and Haven Hunter both went 1-3 with two runs batted in and were named hitters of the game. On the mound, Ty Medford threw five innings and gave up one earned run. He collected the win and pitcher of the game. Also to note, Prospects' Owen Stuckey went 2-3, Futures' Kyle McShaffry went 2-3, and Future's Lakon Pryor went 2-3 with one RBI and one run scored.

In Game 2 at Mountain View, ABA 2017 defeated Mizuno Baseball USA, 5-0. ABA's Drew Marrufo went 2-3 with one double and two runs. Ty Coleman went 3-3 with two doubles, one RBI and one run scored on his way to hitter of the game. On the mound, Thomas Braybrooks threw all seven innings striking out four. Braybrooks gave up five hits and was named pitcher of the game. For Mizuno, Matthew Stary went 2-3 with one double.

In Game 3 at Mountain View, Performance Baseball 17U defeated NWA Prospects 17U, 14-4. Caleb Bolden went 2-2 with one double and three runs batted in. Matt Wyman went 3-4 with one triple, one double and three runs batted in. Both Bolden and Wyman were named hitters of the game. Also to note, Josh Chewning went 3-4 with one double and two runs scored.

Game 4 at Mountain View ended in a 5-5 tie between Texas Blackhawks and LBA Hays. In the game, Bryce Gist hit a grand slam which you can check out in the video below. For the Blackhawks, Layne Elrod went 3-3 with two runs batted in and one run scored. Both Gist and Elrod were named hitters of the game. Also to note, Blackhawks' Christian Mendez went 2-3 with one double and two runs scored.

TCU

Academy Select Sun Devils no-hit Columbia Angels 2017 in their 4-0 victory in Game 1 at TCU. Dru Dziedzic threw the first found innings striking out four batters. Preston Minor threw two innings and struck out two. And Hayden Barger threw one hitless inning. For the Angels, Travis Hester threw five innings and struck out eight. He gave up no hits and walked one batter on his way to pitcher of the game. And at the plate, Sun Devils' Lance Russell went 1-3 with two runs batted in and one run scored. His teammate Tristen Lutz went 2-3 with two runs batted in. Both were named hitters of the game. Watch the full first inning in the video below.

Rawlings Prospects Menard defeated McKinney Marshals 17U, 7-4, in Game 2 at TCU. At the plate for the Marshals, Zach Wilson went 2-3 with one run scored. Tristan Kalina went 2-3 with one double, two runs batted in and two runs scored on his way to hitter of the game. For the Prospects, Casey Martin went 2-3 with one run scored. Logan Easley went 2-3 with one RBI and one run scored. Tyler Gregg went 2-3 with one RBI and two runs scored. And Blake Phillips went 1-3 with one double, one RBI and one run scored. On the mound, Brett Brockington threw five innings and struck out four. He picked up pitcher of the game.

Action Baseball 17U White defeated Dallas Tigers Watten, 10-3, in Game 3 at TCU. On the mound for Action, Christian Larson threw three innings and struck out four. He gave up three hits and one earned run. Cole Quintanilla threw four innings and struck out four. He gave up two hits with no earned runs. Each pitcher walked one batter. Larson and Quintanilla were named pitchers of the game. At the plate, Koby Kelton went 1-2 with one double, one RBI and two runs scored. Hayden Craig went 2-3 with one RBI. Shea Gutierrez went 2-3 with one RBI and two runs scored. And Aidan Shepardson went 2-4 with two runs batted in (see below) and one run scored on his way to hitter of the game. Also to note, Tigers' Juan Gutierrez III went 2-3 with two runs scored.

In Game 4 at TCU, Texas Twelve 17U defeated Dallas Patriots Stout, 10-3. At the plate, Trent McMeans went 2-3 with three runs scored. Brennan Lucas went 2-2 with one triple, two runs batted in and two runs scored. Both McMeans and Lucas were named hitters of the game. Also to note, Daniel Budke went 1-2 with a double and two runs batted in. Burl Caraway started the game going three innings and giving up just one hit. For the Patriots, Dylan Watts went 2-3 with one run scored and Cameron Ehringer went 1-2 with one double and one run scored.

Dallas Patriots Brooks defeated Rebels Nation, 11-2, in Game 5 at TCU. Kyle Hogwood went 3-4 with one RBI and three runs scored. Check him out below. Isaac Maes II went 4-5 with one RBI and two runs scored. Jackson Richardson went 4-5 with two doubles, two runs batted in and two runs scored. All three were named hitters of the game. And on the mound for the Patriots, Spencer Cochran threw all seven innings striking out four. He gave up no earned runs on his way to pitcher of the game. To note for Rebels Nation, Kolby Johnson went 2-3 and Kade Morris went 1-3 with a two-run triple.

UTA

Houston Athletics 2018 defeated McKinney Marshals 16U, 5-2, in Game 1 at UTA. Justin Silva went 3-3 at the plate with two runs scored. He was named hitter of the game for his performance. On the mound, Dylan Smith threw four innings and struck out five without allowing an earned run. Dylan Whitehurst threw three innings and struck out five. Smith and Whitehurst were named pitchers of the game.

In Game 2 at UTA, Action Baseball 17U Green defeated Rebels Nation, 7-1. On the mound, Omar Alzer went all seven innings striking out eight. He gave up three hits and one earned run on his way to pitcher of the game. At the plate, Matthew Milliner went 2-3 with one triple. He had two runs batted in and scored twice. Milliner was named hitter of the game.

In Game 3 at UTA, Performance Baseball 15U defeated HP Baseball Cunningham, 6-1. Keshon Williams stole the show going 2-2 with one home run, one double (see below), one RBI and three runs scored. Williams was named player of the game. Also to note, Performance's Turner Toms threw three hitless innings and struck out four. HP's Ty Boedeker went 1-3 with one double and one run scored.

NTX Dirtbags 2017 defeated Action Baseball 17U Green, 2-0, in Game 4 at UTA. On the mound for the Dirtbags, Chance Thompson and Brian Stillman combined for the shutout. Thompson threw five innings and gave up four hits. Stillman threw two one-hit innings and struck out two. Both were named pitchers of the game. For Action, Ryan Flores went 2-3 with a double.

In Game 5 at UTA, Dallas Dodgers 16 Black defeated NTX Dirtbags 2018, 8-5. At the plate, Dirtbags' Zack Gregory went 2-3 with one run scored while Halston Hammonds went 1-3 with one triple and one RBI. Dodgers' Will Parker went 1-4 with one double and two runs batted in. Cason Carte went 3-3 with one double and two runs batted in on his way to hitter of the game. On the mound, Ethan Ward threw six innings and struck out three while picking up the win. Ward was named pitcher of the game.

Weatherford

In Game 1 at Weatherford, Texas Twelve 17U defeated Dallas Tigers Woods, 7-3. At the plate, Burl Caraway went 2-3 with two runs batted in. Rhett McCall went 2-3 and Avery Geroge went 1-2 with one double, two runs batted in. All three were named hitters of the game. Also to note, Jordan Groshans went 1-3 with one double and two runs batted in. Jaxx Groshans went 1-2 with one double. On the mound for the Twelve, Cannon Davis threw two perfect innings to end the game.

Dallas Patriots Stout defeated Pro Source Athletics Abbott, 6-1, in Game 2 at Weatherford. Connor Neuman threw six innings and struck out four. He gave up three hits and walked one batter with no runs allowed. Neuman was named pitcher of the game. At the plate, Cameron Ehringer went 1-2 with two runs batted in on his way to hitter of the game. Also to note, Patriots' Will Frizzell went 2-3 with one RBI. Pro Source's Hunter Bushnell threw 3.1 one-hit innings and struck out one with no runs allwoed.

In Game 3 at Weatherford, Texas Lions defeated Dallas Mustangs Anderly, 7-4. Hunter Maurice went 3-3 with two runs batted in on his way to player of the game (check him out below). Also to note, Lions' Blake Bowers went 2-3 with one RBI. And Mustangs' Blake Bautz went 1-2 with a double and one run scored.

San Antonio Kings defeated Gators Baseball, 8-1, in Game 4 at Weatherford. Brandon Chamberlain threw six innings and struck out three on his way to pitcher of the game. At the plate, Zach Vooletich went 2-3 with three runs batted in. Check out his infield single in the video below. Vooletich was named hitter of the game. Also to note for the Kings, Zach DeLeon went 1-2 with one double and two runs batted in.

Academy Select Sun Devils defeated McKinney Marshals 17U, 6-5, in Game 5 at Weatherford. Jared Martin threw four one-hit innings and struck out seven without allowing an earned run. Martin was named pitcher of the game. At the plate, Brett Cain went 3-4 with one double while Zach Wilson went 3-4 with one double and two runs batted in. Both Cain and Wilson were named hitters of the game. Also to note, Tristen Lutz went 2-2 with one RBI and one run scored while Kennedy Medlock went 2-4 with one RBI and one run scored.
