Alex Bregman finally got the call Monday night against the Yankees.

The former LSU shortstop made his first MLB appearance after hitting .306 with 20 home runs and 61 RBIs in Double-A and Triple-A this year. It's safe to say Astros fans were eagerly awaiting Bregman's debut as they gave him a standing ovation for his first at bat. Bregman's dad was in awe of the fans' support for his son.

Unfortunately, Bregman couldn't come away with a hit in his debut, but the fan's appreciation for him was amazing. That's a once-in-a-lifetime experience he will never forget. Even though he didn't dazzle at the plate, Bregman proved he has a major league glove.

It seems Bregman didn't have too much trouble moving to third base, and the Astros' organization and fans have something great to look forward to. Bregman is looking like he will be the next young superstar in a list that's already impressive. His first hit will come and with hands like those, he is definitely going to be seen at third a lot more.

Adding Bregman to the list of the Astros' young talent, may make the team constant contenders in the future.
