On July 10, the MLB hosted its annual MLB Futures Game in which the top prospects take each other on in a World vs USA Game.
This game allows the best prospects in the MLB to get a glimpse of what it’s like to play in a major league stadium in front of thousands of fans, as well as showcase their talents to the baseball fanbase. For one prospect however, he decided to make a major impact in his team’s stadium.
San Diego Padres top prospect, Manuel Margot, dazzled the crowd during the Futures Game with this remarkable catch that took a home run away from the USA squad.

Well, that’s one way to show your team’s home crowd that you are ready for “the show”. The Dominican born outfielder channeled his inner Torii Hunter, who was known for his remarkable leaping catch to rob Barry Bonds of a home run in the 2002 MLB All-Star Game, to make a sensational catch crashing into the wall.
With the Padres continuing to struggle, it’s safe to say that Margot could be making his MLB debut after the All-Star Break and that means that fans at Petco Park are in for a treat as this prospect seems to have many more tricks in his bag.
