DBU

Arlington Heat defeated Lightning Baseball, 8-1, in Game 1 at DBU. Heat’s Ryan Thomas kept hitters off balance all day with his fastball, curveball, and changeup. Thomas was pitcher of the game going six innings striking out seven and allowing just three hits and one run. Offensively, Chris Gay and Austin Tidwell led the charge for the Heat. Gay went 2-3 with one double, one triple (see below), one RBI, and three runs batted in. Tidwell went 3-3 with three runs batted in and two runs. Gay and Tidwell were named co-hitters of the game. Zack McJilton also went 2-3 with one double and one walk for the Heat.

Lighting Baseball scored their run in the first inning on an RBI double by Andrew Coverly. Keven Mackintosh pitched five innings striking out nine hitters. He also struck out the side in the first inning which was an impressive start to the game.

Action Baseball Green defeated NTX Dirtbags 2017, 3-1, in Game 2 from DBU. Action’s Walker Sigman was pitcher of the game going 6.1 innings and allowing no earned runs. Sigman only gave up four hits and struck out three (check out one of his strikeouts below). Mateo Carranza recorded the last two outs on the mound for Action Baseball and earned the save. NTX Dirtbags’ Daniel Bandy pitched extremely well going five innings allowing just two runs and two hits while striking out two. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Action’s Trestan Pool launched a majestic two-run home run to right field and was named hitter of the game. Action’s Dalton Watts also recorded an RBI single. NTX Dirtbags’ Connor Emmet had a nice day at the plate going 2-3 with one double.

Michael Van Gundy delivered a clutch walk-off RBI double (see below) to lead Dallas Dodgers 17 Black to a 3-2 victory over the Amarillo Titans 2017 in Game 3 at DBU. Van Gundy ended the game 2-3 with two doubles, two runs batted in and one run scored. He was named player of the game. Dodgers’ Boone Montgomery was solid over six innings of work striking out four and only allowing two runs. Titans’ Noah Bartlett was just as effective over six innings pitched striking out five and allowing two runs. Bartlett and Montgomery were named co-pitchers of the game. Carson Hawks came in relief for the Dodgers and pitched a scoreless inning in the top of the 7th. He ended up getting the win. Dodgers’ Cole Swilley went 1-2 with one triple, one walk, and one run scored. Titans’ Skyler Nelson reached base every time going 2-2 with one double, one walk, and one RBI and was named hitter of the game. Also to note, Titans’ Austin Moya went 2-3 with one double.

Texas Oilers 2017 defeated C3 Futures Worley, 4-1, in Game 4 from DBU. Oilers’ Matthew Walters was pitcher of the game going 6.1 innings, striking out seven and allowing just one run. Oilers’ Mike Nowak was the difference maker at the plate with his three-run double in second inning to give his squad an early 4-0 lead in the game. Nowak was named hitter of the game. Other solid performances came from Oilers’ Dillon Carter (2-3), C3’s Ryan Drake (1-3 with one triple and one RBI), and C3’s Derrick Williams (1-2 with one triple).

Pro Source Athletics Abbott defeated Texas Stix 2017, 5-4, in Game 5 from DBU. Pro Source’s Cale Hundley hit one triple and scored two runs. Hundley also flashed the leather which you can check out in the video below. Austin Gross went 2-3 with one run scored. Texas Stix’s Blaine Jones had a productive night at the plate going 3-4 with one double, one RBI, and one run scored. Jones picked up hitter of the game. Pro Source’s Chase Hacker pitched 4.2 innings striking out five and giving up three earned runs.

Mountain View

The Texas Oilers held off Amarillo Titans 2017, 5-4, in Game 1 at Mountain View. On the mound for the Oilers was Garret Hermes who threw five innings striking out two. At the plate, David Renning went 1-2 with a solo home run. Trystan McGee went 1-4 with a two-run home run. Both Renning and McGee were named hitters of the game. For the Titans, Bradden Kennard went 1-3 with a two-run double.

Game 2 at Mountain View was a 10-3 victory for Dallas Dodgers 17 Black over Arlington Heat. Three Dodgers had the biggest impacts on the game and were all named hitters of the game. Boone Montgomery went 3-4 with a double and three runs batted in. Ty Jones went 2-3 with two run batted in (check that out below). Michael Vangundy also went 2-3 with two runs batted in. And Andrew Rangel went 3-3.

C3 Futures Worley defeated Action Baseball Green, 9-4, in Game 3 at Mountain View. Jacob Frisbie threw a complete game and struck out six on his way to pitcher of the game. Drew Sancillo went 2-3 with one double and two runs batted in on his way to hitter of the game. Also to note, Derrick Williams went 1-3 with one double.

Lightning Baseball brought that bats to Mountain View for their 11-9 victory over NTX Dirtbags 2017 in Game 4. For Lightning, Casey O'Neil, Ryan Robinson, Morgan McIntosh, Andrew Coverly, Matt Meraz, Adam Neider, and Ryan Sullivan combined for 14 hits and eight runs batted in. Sullivan hit a deep fly to left which you can catch in the video embedded below. For the Dirtbags, Clayton Beeter went 3-4 with a triple, double and single on his way to player of the game.

Tarleton State

Oklahoma Fuel took care of business in Game 1 at Tarleton State by beating Mizuno Baseball, 11-6. Fuel's TJ Mullins went 2-3 with one triple, one double and one RBI. Mizuno's Diego Davila went 1-3 with a two-run home run. Both were named hitters of the game.

Cole Quintanilla was dominant in Action Baseball White's 10-0 victory over NTX Banditos in Game 2 at Tarleton State. The University of Missoui commit threw five one-hit innings striking out five on his way to pitcher of the game. Quintanilla had a no hitter through four innings. Picking him up on offense was Ryan Bishop and Tyler Pettit. Bishop went 2-2 with one double and one RBI. Pettit went 2-3 with two runs batted in. Both were named hitters of the game.

LBA Hays defeated Fort Worth Cats, 7-1, in Game 3 at Tarleton State. Kameron Deterding through five inning striking out two while giving up no runs on his way to pitcher of the game. Seth Watts was just short of the cycle going 3-4 with one triple, one double, one single, and he had one stolen base. Needless to say, Watts was named hitter of the game.

LBA Hays won their second game of the day defeating NTX Banditos, 16-0, in Game 4 at Tarleton State. On the mound was Garret Gerber who went five innings striking out three and picking up pitcher of the game. At the plate, Heath Hayes went 3-4 with one double, one triple and three runs batted in. Aaron Bly went 3-3 with three doubles and two runs batted in. Both Hayes and Bly were named hitters of the game.

TCU

Game 1 at TCU ended in a 5-5 tie between Dallas Dodgers 16 Black and Amarillo Titans 2018, but it was an exciting one. Titans got two hits each from Aaron Haase and Hunter Nelson. Haase went 2-4 with one double, one stolen base and two runs scored on his way to co-player of the game. For the Dodgers, Dalton Black went 2-3 with one RBI and one stolen base. Black was named co-player of the game. Will Parker had a double and drove in a run. The play of the day came from Tristan Williams who made a diving catch to save a double down the third base line.

Performance Baseball 16U defeated Arsenal Stars, 7-4 in Game 2 at TCU. Keylon Mack got things going with a solo home run at Lupton Stadium. He ended up going 1-3 with that bomb and a walk. Connor Lowe went 1-3 with a double, two runs batted in and two runs scored. On the mound, Elijah Trest threw five innings striking out five and Landon Dorman threw two innings striking out three while allowing one hit. Both Trest and Dorman were named pitchers of the game (check them out below). Hitter of the game was Noah Leff of Arsenal. He went 3-4 with two runs batted in and two runs scored.

UTA

DBAT Herrick defeated Dallas Mustangs Randle, 6-1, in Game 1 at UTA. Adam Stephenson threw six innings striking out seven. He gave up two hits on his way to pitcher of the game. Check him out in the video embedded below. On offense for DBAT, Jake Smith went 2-3 with one double, one run batted in, two runs scored and two stolen bases. Will Quillen went 2-3 with one triple and one run scored. Both Smith and Quillen were named hitters of the game.

Texas Stix 2017 narrowly defeated Dallas Tigers Woods, 2-0, in Game 2 at UTA. For the Stix, Thomas Santos threw six one-hit innings striking out two. He hit 86 MPH with his fastball. For the Tigers, William Adair threw four innings and struck out two without allowing any runs. He gave up two hits and sat 84-86 MPH with his fastball. JJ Montenegro threw three inning striking out four and hitting 90 MPH on the radar gun. All three players were named pitchers of the game.

Connor Mushinski was nasty in Pro Souce Athletics Abbott's 4-0 victory over Academy Select Sun Devils in Game 3 at UTA. The left-handed pitcher threw a complete game shutout striking out six and allowing four hits. Mushinski was named pitcher of the game. Backing him up on offense was Cody Masters and Chase Hacker. Masters went 2-3 with two runs batted in. Hacker went 1-3 with one double and one run batted in. Both were named hitters of the game.

Texas Lions held off DBAT Herrick, 3-1, in Game 4 at UTA. For the Lions, Dylan Nalley went 2-3 with two singles. Wyatt Whitlock went 2-2 with one triple, one run batted in and one run scored on his way to hitter of the game. On the mound, Kendall Catalon threw six innings striking out three. He gave up just one run on his way to the victory and pitcher of the game. For DBAT, Adam Stephenson went 2-3 with two singles and Taylor Pendley went 1-1 with a double.

Game 5 between Action Baseball White and Mizuno Baseball ended in a 2-2 tie at UTA. Dustin Saenz threw four one-hit innings striking out six in the contest. He hit 91 MPH on the radar gun (see below) and was named pitcher of the game. On offense, Matthew Stary went 1-3 with a triple, one RBI and one run scored. Stary picked up hitter of the game.

Weatherford

Dallas Dodgers 16 Black defeated Texas Lions, 6-4, in Game 1 at Weatherford. For the Lions, Marshall Buss went 2-2 with one home run, three runs batted in and one stolen base. Will Parker went 3-4 with one double and three stolen bases. Both were named players of the game.

Amarillo Titans 2018 defated Performance Baseball 16U, 7-1, in Game 2 at Weatherford. Colton Moore went 2-4 with one double and four runs batted in. Check out his three-run double in the video below. Moore was named hitter of the game. Trevor Andrus threw six innings striking out five on his way to pitcher of the game. Also to note for the Titans, Logan Ellis went 2-4 with one double and one RBI.

Dallas Patriots Brooks defeated Arsenal Stars, 6-0, in Game 3 at Weatherford. Nick Davis threw a complete game shutout striking out eight on his way to pitcher of the game. Watch his final strikeout in the video below. Preston Baumgartner went 2-3 with two runs batted in, one stolen bag, and one run scored. Baumgartner was named hitter of the game.

Dallas Mustangs Randle held on for the victory over Dallas Patriots Brooks, 9-6, in Game 4 from Weatherford. David Randall went 2-3 with three runs batted in on his way to hitter of the game. Buddy Trevino went 1-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. He also threw the last inning striking out one on his way to the save. Trevino was named player of the game for his performance.

Oklahoma Fuel defeated Fort Worth Cats, 16-2, in Game 5 at Weatherford. Kaleb McCullough threw four innings striking out two and giving up two hits. He didn't surrender a run on his way to pitcher of the game. Cole Davis went 2-3 with three runs batted in while Hayden Parker went 2-3 with one triple and one RBI. Both were named hitters of the game.
