Mountain View

It was a battle of two starting pitchers as Performance Baseball 16U and Dallas Mustangs Randle ended in a 0-0 tie in Game 1 at Mountain View. On the mound for the Mustangs was Harrison Lawrence who threw seven innings striking out eight batters and giving up four hits. His counterpart, Mason Higginbotham, went seven innings striking out one and giving up six hits. Both players were named players of the game for their shutout performances (check them out side by side in the video below).

Following right along with the previous game, Game 2 at Mountain View ended in a 1-1 tie between the Texas Lions and Dallas Patriots Brooks. For the Patriots, Peter Delkus threw 6.2 one-hit innings striking out two and giving up one run. For the Lions, Austin Roth threw six innings striking out six. Both were named pitchers of the game. Mason LaPlante came up clutch for the Patriots getting the game-tying RBI single in the sixth (see below). He finished the game going 2-3 with two singles and one RBI on his way to player of the game.

Tarleton State

Down seven runs in the bottom of the 7th inning, Arlington Heat came back to defeat C3 Futures Worley, 13-12, in Game 1 at Tarleton State. C3's Justin Pelletier came in to throw two innings striking out 5 batters and getting the other to ground out. He was named pitcher of the game for his performance in relief. Heat's Spencer Sackett went 2-3 with two runs batted in and walked once on his way to hitter of the game.

NTX Dirtbags 2017 defeated Texas Oilers 2017, 10-6, in Game 2 at Tarleton State. Connor Emmett went 2-2 with one double and two runs batted in. Hunter Harp went 1-3 with one double and two runs batted in. Both were named hitters of the game.

In Game 3 at Tarleton State, NTX Dirtbags 2017 defeated Dallas Dodgers 17 Black, 12-6. Hunter Harp went 2-3 with one triple and three runs batted in. One of those was the eventual go-ahead RBI in the seventh. Clayton Beeter went 2-3 with two doubles. Both were named hitters of the game.

TCU

Dallas Mustangs Sharp tied Dallas Patriots Sherard, 8-8, in Game 1 from TCU. Mustangs Sharp’s Mason Ornelas went 2-3 with one RBI and two runs scored. He also pitched two innings striking out one batter. Ornelas was named player of the game. Mustangs Sharp’s Mason Packwood went 2-3 with one RBI and two runs scored and was named hitter of the game. Also to note, Patriots Sherard’s Jackson Norman went 1-2 with one triple, three runs batted in and one run scored. Braden Webb went 1-3 with one double, two runs batted in and one run scored. Dalton Davis had a nice multi-hit effort going 2-4.

Dallas Tigers Hernandez defeated Texas Stix 2019, 12-1, in Game 2 from TCU. Tigers’ Joey Crisci led the offensive attack going 3-3 with one double and three runs. Crisci was named player of the game. Preston King went 2-3 with two doubles, one walk, and two runs scored. He was named hitter of the game. Other impressive Tigers included Chase Lummus (2-2 with one walk), Jake Cosner (2-3 with one double and one run), and Brendon Dixon (2-4 with a double and one RBI). On the mound, Jake Cosner, Dillon Carter, Garrett Reuben, Jacob Meador, and Sean Bolin combined to throw five one-hit innings without allowing any earned runs and striking out six.

UTA

Thrive Baseball knocked off Dallas Tigers Watten, 4-2, in Game 1 at UTA. D'Sawn Webster threw seven innings striking out three on his way to pitcher of the game. He was also 2-3 with one RBI and one run scored at the plate. Hitter of the game was Trevor Hatton of Thrive. He went 2-3 with one double and one RBI. For the Tigers, Logan Layer went 1-3 with one double and one run scored. Brooks Helmer went 2-4 with one double and two runs batted in.

Fort Worth Cats defeated the NTX Banditos, 4-2, in Game 2 at UTA. Dillon Rodgers threw three innings striking out two and giving up one hit. He also did not allow a run. Jake Jennings threw three innings striking out three and not allowing a hit. Both Rodgers and Jennings were named pitchers of the game. On offense, Hunter Jenkins went 2-3 with one RBI and two runs scored. He was named hitter of the game. For the Banditos, Ream went 1-3 with one triple and one run scored. He also threw two innings striking out four.

Weatherford

Game 1 at Weatherford was all Nik Millsap in DBAT Herrick's 5-0 win over Dallas Dodgers 16 Black. The righty threw five innings striking out just as many (5) while allowing just two hits. Millsap was named pitcher of the game. Millsap got some run support from Jake Smith. He went 1-3 with two runs batted in and one run scored. Smith was named hitter of the game.

Tristen Lutz led the charge for Academy Select Sun Devils in their 13-2 victory over Texas Stix 2017 in Game 2 at Weatherford. The University of Texas commit went 4-4 with one triple, one double and four runs batted in on his way to co-hitter of the game. His teammate Lance Russell went 2-5 with one home run and three runs batted in. Russell was named the other co-hitter of the game. And on the mound, Preston Minnor threw four inning striking out four on his way to pitcher of the game.

Dallas Tigers Woods held off Pro Source Athletics Abbott, 4-3, in Game 3 at Weatherford. Pro Source's Mason Holt went 1-3 with a triple, one walk and some great catches in left field. On the other side, Parker Bateman went 2-3 with two runs batted in and was named hitter of the game. Dylan Ditzenberger came in for 2.1 innings of work and struck out three including one with the bases loaded (see below). He picked up the save and pitcher of the game.
